This needed to be done. So the Habominations spanked the Canes and then the Canes in turn spanked the Islanders.
Now it's your turn. Who will the little Isles spank next? A gold star for who gets it and maybe a genuine spanking by a hot lady dressed as a nurse that's how it works right?)
Is it too early to get fucking psyched over what the Habs are doing? Let's show those fuckers how we roll!
Anyway, the Habs are still leading the PP. Who'da thunk it? Souray's out on IR banging women from Alberta.
Jordi was last seen running up and down her neighbourhood proclaiming over and over "WE HAVE HIM!". She is now somewhat sober enough to apologise for anyone who was rudely awakened.
$23 mil for four years, $5.75 each year makes Markov a very expensive d-man indeed. With the way everyone regards him as a god, you'd think his +/- was 3 billion. While it's a lonely looking 2, to many Habs fans we all nod our heads (or shrug) and go "that's good in Habs terms". I love Markov and his funny looking lumpy head and everytime Souray gets off and Markov gets on I know it was for me. He has a kind of consistency which many teams would die for, but at the same time when he doesn't do as well - he does just that. It's making me a little nervous really, mainly because people are expecting him to zoom up and down the ice, blocking shots and destroying opposition. Markov is great, mainly because compared to our others he's the best we got. But let me chime in again. 5.75 million is a fucking lot of money.
And what about Souray? Our gorgeous -28 with many PP goals? How much will he be asking? Well he can play 81 games, fight, and provide a veteran leadership. Surely he'd be going for the same number.
A lot of people are getting ready to wave goodbye to our 'orrible Souray, confident that signing Markov to a long term deal was more than enough. But I can't help but feel that we were way too eager to lock it up with Markov, with a number that seems a little too pricey for me, and if Souray accepts anything less he'd be a chump. And you know this might sound a little too out there but maybe the Habs may have benefited having him still on the team a little. We have many forwards ready and willing but I have yet to hear of a new Kostitsyn brother charging up the defenseman ranks. Fuck what happens to Souray now?
